Scope
This policy covers all Single Origin Games titles — both mobile apps and browser (web) games, including past, current, and future releases, plus this website (singleorigingames.com). Some of our web games are also distributed through third-party game portals; those portals have their own privacy policies that apply while you play on their sites. When a future game collects something not described here, this page is updated before that game launches and the new disclosure is logged in the Change log at the bottom.
The short version
We make games. The games don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. They don't read your contacts, photos, or other apps. They use anonymous analytics to understand how players use the game, and they show optional rewarded ads.
That's it. The rest of this page is the long version, written so a human can read it.
Who "we" are
Single Origin Games — a one-person studio based in India. Operating singleorigingames.com and currently publishing:
- Tycoon Era: Idle Money Empire (Android)
- Fleet Magnate: Transport Tycoon (Android)
- Lexonaut — the daily word game (Android + web)
- Solitaire Origin — five classic solitaire modes (Android + web)
You can reach the developer directly at hello@singleorigingames.com.
What data we collect
From our mobile apps
Our Android apps (Tycoon Era, Fleet Magnate) use the following Google-provided services, each of which collects standard mobile telemetry as documented by Google:
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous gameplay events (which screens you visit, what businesses you buy, when you watch ads). No personally identifiable information. Used to understand what's working in the game.
- Firebase Crashlytics — automatic crash reports when something goes wrong. Includes device model and Android version. No personal data.
- ironSource LevelPlay + Unity Ads — serve the optional rewarded ads in Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate only. They use your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier you control in Android Settings → Google → Ads) to show relevant ads. See Unity's and ironSource's privacy policies.
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. Single Origin Games never sees your payment information.
- Google Play Games Services — used for optional cloud saves and (in some games) sign-in. Only when you explicitly opt in. Both Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate use this for cloud save.
Lexonaut (Android) differs from the two apps above: it uses Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics, Google Play Games (optional cloud save), and Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) — but it shows no third-party ads and uses no advertising ID (both advertising-ID and Android-ID collection are disabled in the app). Its optional "watch a short clip to earn a hint" is a first-party cross-promotion of our own games, not an ad network. Lexonaut also sends the same leaderboard data described below (anonymous player ID, chosen display name, scores) to our own Cloudflare backend.
Solitaire Origin (Android) uses the same stack as Lexonaut Android: Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics, Google Play Billing (in-app purchases), and our own Cloudflare backend for the daily-challenge and monthly-tournament leaderboards (anonymous player ID, chosen display name, scores). It shows no third-party ads and uses no advertising ID. It does show first-party cross-promotion tiles for other Single Origin Games titles — those are not ad-network placements and do not track you. Google Play Games (optional cloud save + achievements) is planned for a future update and will be added to this policy before it ships.
From our web (browser) games
Some of our games run in the browser as HTML5 (the browser versions of Lexonaut and Solitaire Origin). We host them on our own infrastructure (Cloudflare) and also distribute them through third-party game portals such as CrazyGames, GameDistribution, Y8, GamePix, and GameMonetize. The browser version does not use Firebase or Google Play (the Android version does — see just above). Here's what the browser games handle:
- On your device — your progress, settings, and an anonymous player ID (a random identifier, not tied to your real identity) are stored in your browser's local storage. Clear them any time via your browser or the in-game reset.
- Sent to our servers (Cloudflare Workers, operated by us) — to run features like the global daily word and leaderboards, the game sends your anonymous player ID, a display name you choose (auto-generated by default — you never have to enter real information), and your scores. We also receive the basic technical information every website receives, including the address of the site the game is embedded on and your network (IP) address. The IP address is used only in a one-way hashed (non-reversible) form to prevent leaderboard abuse — we do not store raw IP addresses and do not use them to identify or track you.
- Third-party game portals that embed our web games are separate companies with their own privacy policies, which also apply while you play on their sites. Some show their own ads and analytics, which we don't control. If we later enable a portal's ad or rewarded-video features, that portal's SDK and terms will apply, and we'll update this policy first.
We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, precise location, or any contact details from web games, and we never sell your data. The offline modes need no account. The legal basis (where laws such as the GDPR apply) is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the leaderboard; the data involved is anonymous or pseudonymous.
From this website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs IP addresses temporarily for routine security and abuse prevention. The site does not run any analytics scripts, does not set cookies, and does not include third-party trackers.
What we don't collect
- Your name
- Your email address (unless you write to us — then we obviously have it)
- Your phone number
- Your contacts
- Your photos, files, or media
- Your precise location
- Your microphone or camera data
- Anything from other apps on your device
How we use the data we collect
Anonymous analytics tell us what's working and what isn't. If a tutorial step has a high drop-off rate, we redesign it. If a business tier is rarely unlocked, we re-tune the economy. The data is aggregated across all players and never tied to you specifically.
Crash reports help us fix bugs. Ad data lets our ad networks (ironSource LevelPlay / Unity Ads) serve rewarded ads in Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate. IAP data lets purchases work. That's the full list of uses.
What we never do
- Sell your data to anyone
- Share your data with anyone outside the service providers listed above (Google — Firebase and Play — plus our ad networks Unity/ironSource, for our mobile apps; Cloudflare and the game portals for our web games)
- Use your data to track you across other apps or websites
- Build advertising profiles about you
- Send you marketing emails (we don't have your email)
Your choices
Opt out of personalized ads
Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization." You can also reset your advertising ID from the same screen to start fresh.
Opt out of analytics and personalized ads
Each game has an in-game surface to manage these choices. The exact label varies:
- Tycoon Era: Settings → Privacy → Analytics (toggle for analytics collection; crash reports can be disabled in the same place).
- Fleet Magnate: Settings → Ad preferences. This opens Google's standard consent dialog, where you can grant or revoke consent for personalized ads and analytics together. Available to users in regions where the dialog applies (EU, UK, EEA, Switzerland).
For users in other regions where the consent dialog doesn't apply, you can opt out of ad personalization at the device level: Android Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization." This is the most reliable way to disable personalized ads regardless of which game you're in.
Remove Ads entirely
If you'd rather not see ads at all, the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase is the cleanest path. One-time purchase, no subscription.
Delete your game data
Here's every layer of data about you, and how each is deleted:
1. Local save on your device. Settings → Reset Progress wipes the local save. Fully under your control; we have no copy.
2. Cloud save (if you opted into Google Play Cloud Save). Settings → Cloud Save → Delete Cloud Save removes the cloud copy. Fully under your control.
3. Data on our servers — for games with online leaderboards, your chosen display name and scores are stored, keyed to an anonymous player ID. To have it deleted:
- Open the game → Settings → About → copy your "Privacy ID". If you don't see it, your game version pre-dates this feature — just email us with the info you can provide.
- Email hello@singleorigingames.com with subject "Data deletion request" and paste the Privacy ID in the body.
- We acknowledge within 7 working days and delete your server-side data within 30 days.
4. Anonymous analytics & crash reports. These are stored by Firebase, keyed to an anonymous "App Instance ID" that we cannot map back to you, and they auto-delete within 2 months of inactivity (our Firebase data-retention setting) — so no action is needed on your part.
After the steps above, no data about you remains in any system we control. Ads in Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate (served via ironSource LevelPlay / Unity Ads) are tied to your device's Android Advertising ID; you can reset that yourself at any time via Android Settings → Google → Ads. (Lexonaut serves no ads and uses no advertising ID.)
Region-specific rights
India (DPDPA 2023)
We are a data fiduciary established in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or completion of inaccurate data
- Request deletion (erasure) of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity or death
- File a grievance if your request is not addressed satisfactorily
Grievance Officer: Parthasarathy Sinha, reachable at hello@singleorigingames.com. We acknowledge receipt of grievances within 7 working days and resolve them within 30 days as required by DPDPA. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
European Union (GDPR)
EU and EEA residents have the rights listed above, plus:
- Right to data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
The legal basis for processing is your consent (for analytics and personalized ads) and contract performance (for in-app purchases). Consent can be withdrawn at any time from inside each game — see the "Opt out of analytics and personalized ads" section above for the exact in-game path per title.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents may request what categories of personal information we have collected and request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Brazil (LGPD)
Brazilian residents have the rights listed above under the India and EU sections, plus the right to data portability and to file complaints with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD). Our legal basis for processing is your consent for analytics and personalized ads, and contract performance for in-app purchases.
Quebec (Law 25)
Quebec residents have the same rights as EU users above, plus stricter notification requirements in the event of a data breach. We notify affected users and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec within reasonable delay if a confidentiality incident risks serious harm.
South Korea (PIPA)
Korean residents have the rights listed above. Users under 14 require explicit parental consent before personal data is collected. We rely on Google Play's Family Link integration and Google's age-verification flows (including the Play Age Signals API where applicable) to determine and respect this requirement.
Other jurisdictions
If your country has data-protection laws not specifically listed above (for example Canadian PIPEDA, Australian Privacy Act, Japanese APPI, Singapore PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Indonesia UU PDP, or Turkey KVKK), the rights enumerated in the EU section above apply by analogy. We honor any reasonable data-access or deletion request regardless of where you live; reach out via the contact section below.
Cross-border data transfers
Data processed by Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing flows to Google's global infrastructure. Ad data in Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate is processed by our ad providers — Unity Technologies / ironSource (LevelPlay, Unity Ads). Each may include servers outside India and outside your home country. Google, Unity, and ironSource act as the data processors for their respective flows; Single Origin Games does not transfer data across borders independently. See Google's and Unity's privacy policies.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Our games are not specifically directed at children under 13. They do not require an account and do not request personal information. Lexonaut shows no third-party ads at all; Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate serve rewarded ads through the ironSource LevelPlay and Unity Ads SDKs.
For Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate, we apply the ad SDKs' child-directed / age-restricted settings so users flagged as under 13 (Family Link / restricted accounts) are not shown personalized ads. Lexonaut is ad-free for everyone, so under-13 players there have a fully-functional experience with no ads at all.
Data location and retention
For our mobile apps, Firebase and Google Play Billing store data in Google's worldwide infrastructure (see Google's data residency policy); ad data (ironSource LevelPlay / Unity Ads, in Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate) is stored in Unity's / ironSource's infrastructure.
For our web games, the leaderboard and daily-word data described above is processed on Single Origin Games' behalf by Cloudflare (our hosting and edge provider) across Cloudflare's global network; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Anonymous player IDs, display names and scores are retained to keep the leaderboards working; the hashed values used for abuse prevention expire automatically within about two days.
Anonymous analytics data is retained per Google Analytics 4's default retention (currently 14 months for event data). Crash reports follow Firebase Crashlytics defaults (90 days). You can request deletion at any time by emailing us at the address above.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top and document the change. Material changes will be surfaced in-game on the next launch.

Change log
Material changes to this policy are listed here with their effective date. We keep the full history so a user who agreed to an older version can see exactly what changed and when.
2026-09-09 — v1.7
- Solitaire Origin added to the published titles list (Android + web). It uses the same data stack as Lexonaut Android — Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics, Google Play Billing, and the Cloudflare leaderboard backend — and shows no third-party ads and no advertising ID. First-party cross-promotion tiles for other Single Origin Games titles are shown, but they are not ad-network placements and do not track you.
2026-09-07 — v1.6
- Clarified data deletion. Each game now shows a "Privacy ID" (an anonymous player ID) in Settings → About; quoting it lets us delete your server-side leaderboard data on request. Anonymous analytics and crash reports now auto-delete within 2 months of inactivity (a Firebase data-retention setting), so no per-user analytics deletion request is needed.
2026-09-05 — v1.5
- Lexonaut is now also an Android app (previously listed as web-only). Its Android build uses Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics, Google Play Games (optional cloud save), and Google Play Billing (in-app purchases). It shows no third-party ads and uses no advertising ID (both advertising-ID and Android-ID collection are disabled).
- Corrected the rewarded-ad SDK for Tycoon Era and Fleet Magnate from "Google AdMob" to ironSource LevelPlay + Unity Ads, and updated the data-flow, data-storage, and children sections accordingly (ad data is processed by Unity/ironSource, not Google).
- No change to what data Lexonaut collects beyond making its Android services explicit.
2026-07-20 — v1.4
- Added coverage for our first browser (web) game, Lexonaut, and web games generally: local-storage progress, an anonymous player ID, plus a display name and scores sent to our own Cloudflare-hosted leaderboard/daily-word backend, and a hashed IP used only for abuse prevention (no raw IP stored).
- Noted distribution through third-party game portals (CrazyGames, GameDistribution, Y8, GamePix, GameMonetize), whose own privacy policies also apply while you play on their sites.
- Corrected the earlier "does not operate any servers of its own" statement — our web games run on Cloudflare Workers operated on our behalf.
- Broadened Scope and the "Who we are" list to include web games alongside the Android apps.
2026-06-11 — v1.3
- Added explicit Brazil (LGPD), Quebec (Law 25), and South Korea (PIPA) sections in preparation for global distribution.
- Added "Other jurisdictions" catch-all clause covering Canadian PIPEDA, Australian Privacy Act, Japanese APPI, Singapore PDPA, Thailand PDPA, Indonesia UU PDP, and Turkey KVKK.
- No change to what data is collected; only added jurisdiction-specific rights enumerations.
2026-06-10 — v1.2
- Corrected the Google Play Games Services entry — it's used by both Tycoon Era AND Fleet Magnate for cloud saves, not Tycoon Era only.
- Split the "Opt out of analytics" section into per-game paths. Fleet Magnate uses Google's standard consent dialog (Settings → Ad preferences) which manages personalized ads and analytics together; Tycoon Era retains its dedicated Privacy → Analytics toggle.
- Updated the GDPR consent-withdrawal paragraph to point at the same per-game paths.
- No change to what data is collected; only accurate descriptions of where the in-game controls live.
2026-06-10 — v1.1
- Expanded the "Delete your game data" section to describe the three-layer deletion workflow (local save / cloud save / Firebase analytics) and the Privacy ID mechanism for analytics deletion requests.
- No change to what data is collected; only clarification of the deletion mechanism.
2026-06-10 — v1.0 (initial publication)
- First publication of this policy as the studio-wide privacy policy covering all Single Origin Games published apps and singleorigingames.com.
- Tycoon Era: Idle Money Empire and Fleet Magnate: Transport Tycoon both covered from this date.
- Includes region-specific rights for India (DPDPA 2023), EU (GDPR), and California (CCPA/CPRA).
- Grievance Officer designation included.
