What's in the game
Daily Word
One hidden word, the same for the whole world each day. Six guesses, a streak to protect, and a shareable emoji grid when you solve it.
Rush
A five-minute sprint. Solve as many words as you can — every solve buys more time, so a hot streak keeps the clock alive.
Ladder
Climb from four- to seven-letter words in a single run. Each rung is longer and tougher than the last.
Endless Practice
Unlimited words across Common, Tricky and Expert difficulty. Warm up, or chase the hardest letters with no clock and no limit.
Built for everyone
A 90-second interactive tutorial, colour-blind and high-contrast palettes, reduced-motion mode, and comfortable one-handed play on mobile.
Share your grid
Solved today's word? Share your spoiler-free colour grid and compare with friends — and climb the daily leaderboard.
What makes it different
Lexonaut is quick to learn and hard to put down. A short interactive tutorial teaches the whole game on real tiles in under 90 seconds — no rulebook, no wall of text. Then it's just you, the word, and six guesses.
The daily word is truly global and server-set — everyone in the world gets the same word each day, so your shared grid means something. And it's more than a once-a-day game: when one word isn't enough, Rush, Ladder and Practice are always there.
It's free, runs in any browser, needs no account, and works great on a phone. No pop-ups, no dark patterns — just a clean word puzzle, the same honest design as the rest of the studio.
How the daily works
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter.
- 🟩 Green — right letter, right spot.
- 🟨 Yellow — in the word, wrong spot.
- ⬛ Gray — not in the word.
- Six guesses to solve it. A new word arrives every day at midnight UTC.
